Everything is going well

Just a quick update...we are all well here. My surgery was successful and, though not painless, I haven't had any problems. We are very thankful that Jared's mom is here for a few days to help while I recover and Timothy seems to really enjoy her being here. He is showing off all of his greatest smiles, cute giggles, and biggest kicks. He is also enjoying his new jumperoo...even if he is a little small yet. With a pillow under his feet, he is ready to go. :)

4 months

Timothy is growing in many ways:

He now weighs 10 lbs, 9 oz.

He is 22.5" long

He plays with his hands and stuffs them into his mouth

He grabs anything he can and stuffs it into his mouth

He loves to smile, "talk," and interact with anyone that smiles at him

We went in for his 4-month appointment today and he is currently sleeping after enduring another round of vaccines (thankfully). The doctor is happy that he is gaining weight, but concerned that it is still so slow. He is now in the zero percentile in height, weight, and head measurements. So, next week we are taking him back down to Children's Hospital for blood work and a sweat test...the results of which may tell us that he is dealing with something much larger than we have expected in the past. We are also going to be visiting a geneticist to check for other reasons as to why he is not eating. Over the next couple of months, his gag reflex should reduce dramatically so that we can start some solid food. Please keep us in our prayers as we work with the wonderful specialists that are here in St. Louis and we can figure this out before we move.

Please keep me in your prayers as well this week...I am having my gallbladder removed. From what I have been told, about 10 percent of women need it removed after childbirth. Lucky me! :) Thankfully, my mother-in-law is stopping in for a couple of days to help with Timothy.

The Project

This is what I have been working on for the past month...Jared's ordination stole. There is a website where you can order a kit with the patterns already drawn on, backing material, and the instructions to complete it. I am hoping to finish up the stitching during our trip to Michigan for Easter so I can get it put together as soon as we get back. I will post some progress pictures as I go.

Who needs to sleep?

We are spending more and more time awake during the day, and this is how I find Timothy on many afternoons...
